Ruffwear has been a proud sponsor and supporter of a majority
of the avalanche rescue dog teams across the US and Canada for many
years. Over the years, we have sent these working dogs Ruffwear gear,
let them put the equivalent of multiple years of use and abuse on the
products in a single season, and then asked them for feedback. One thing
we cherish about working with these groups is that they are very open
and honest with their feedback and needs. When working in the conditions
they operate in, they need good gear and that gear must be designed to
work.
Over the past two winter seasons, we have been working very closely with select avalanche rescue dog handlers to develop a harness to the specs that they require. After two years of prototypes, field-testing, feedback and adjustments, we are proud to introduce the Web Master Pro™ Harness – a lift and assist harness designed to address the needs of professional avalanche and SAR teams.
The Web Master Pro is built on the safe, secure and proven chassis of our Web Master™ Harness – which means you get the same customizable fit thanks to five points of adjustment, that allow for full range of active motion.
What sets this apart from the Web Master is all-metal hardware, an oversized handle for gloved hands, and two low-profile side pockets that carry essentials like an avalanche beacon, identification papers and treats.
